The vision of the Civil Engineering Department is to graduate competent civil engineers capable of supporting and promoting rapid industrial and economic development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Department Mission
To provide civil engineering education based on research and design sciences that prepare graduates to meet current challenges in civil and infrastructure projects.
Major Objectives
Provide students with a strong foundation in civil engineering based on mathematical, scientific, and engineering principles, enabling them to develop and build themselves as experienced civil engineers.
Provide students with the skills and tools in design, modeling, problem solving, experimentation, data analysis, computing, teamwork, and effective communication.
Provide students with knowledge of ethical and professional values, a general social awareness of the impact of civil engineering on society, and the importance of lifelong learning in both technical and non-technical fields.
