The college was founded by institutions connected to the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), after which it became a part of the 2014-founded University of Hafr Al-Batin. With bachelor's degrees available in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Chemical Engineering, the Faculty of Engineering is one of the university's oldest faculties. Nowadays, the college grants bachelor's degrees in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. (CHE) Also, the National Council for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) and the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) are preparing to accredit the aforementioned programs.
