the university, in partnership with the National Center for the Development of the Non-Profit Sector, activated strategic cooperation between the two sides, in the presence of His Excellency the Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Dr. Badr bin Jumaan Al-Shaeri, and His Excellency the Executive Vice President of the Strategic Sector at the Centre, Mr. Ahmed bin Muhammad Al-Badr, on the sidelines of the International Forum for the Non-Profit Sector held in Riyadh during the period from 3 to 5 December.

the cooperation includes a number of tracks aimed at supporting the development of the non-profit sector in the Kingdom, most notably the preparation of academic programs and specialized educational curricula, encouraging researchers to study the sector’s priorities and considering the establishment of research chairs, in addition to developing professional training packages, launching initiatives to establish non-profit business incubators and accelerators, spreading the culture of volunteer work, enhancing community participation, and including the center’s national research priorities among the university’s research priorities.

this cooperation comes in support of the efforts of both sides in supporting the non-profit sector system and keeping pace with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in the fields of education, scientific research and community development.
