under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Khaled bin Bani Al-Harbi, and in the presence of the university’s deputies, the University of Hafr Al-Batin, represented by the university’s dean - Volunteer Work Department, and in cooperation with the General Administration of Institutional Communication, organized a meeting on the occasion of  International Volunteer Day.

the meeting witnessed the inauguration of the Volunteer Work Department, the launch of an initiative to plant agricultural seedlings, in addition to a visual presentation that discussed the importance of volunteer work day and the emergence of the department.

the program also included a number of topics, most notably: introducing management, the impact of volunteer work on the individual and society, and the role of community partnerships in promoting the culture of volunteering.

the meeting also included a first aid workshop presented by the medical center. 

organizing this meeting comes within the framework of the university’s keenness to support the culture of volunteerism and consolidate its role in community service.
