Launching the Academic Preparation Certificate Program at the University of Hafr Al-Batin to enhance the competency of new faculty members and those returning from scholarship

The activities of the Academic Orientation Certificate Program were launched today, organized by the Deanship of Development and Quality in cooperation with the General Administration of Institutional Communication, and in partnership with several university entities, with the attendance of the university’s vice presidents and a number of faculty members.

The program targets new faculty members and those returning from academic scholarships, aiming to enhance their integration into the academic and administrative environment, and to support the quality of education, scientific research, and community service, as part of the university’s efforts to develop its academic competencies and achieve its strategic objectives aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

The program is considered a strategic initiative designed to enable faculty members to integrate effectively into the university environment by familiarizing them with the university’s vision, mission, values, systems, and regulations, and by equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to perform their teaching, research, and community service roles efficiently.

The program consists of three main phases. It begins with the introductory orientation phase, which focuses on introducing participants to the university environment, systems, and services. This is followed by the second phase, which includes specialized sessions on teaching and learning, quality and academic accreditation, and also emphasizes research and innovation. It further includes several meetings with the university’s vice presidents and deans, as well as department heads, to discuss academic challenges and opportunities.

The third phase involves the Sustainable Education Program, which extends throughout the academic year and aims to promote continuous self-learning and document professional achievements in a way that contributes to the development of academic performance.

It is expected that the program will contribute to supporting the integration of faculty members into the university system, enhancing the efficiency of the educational and research process, and strengthening institutional affiliation, in line with the university’s commitment to excellence in higher education and its efforts to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
