As a result of the frantic acceleration that races against time in the production and development of knowledge, many facts have changed in the concepts of economics and its issues, the main axis of which is the development of human capabilities. It is no longer a secret to any decision-maker that the knowledge economy is more than just a tributary of another tributary; it is a lifeline and a bridge to survival for any nation.
This is what the wise leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia drew attention to at the right time, making it a focal point in national transformation projects and Vision 2030. The emphasis then shifted to the renaissance of education, particularly university education, and its development in such a way that the concept of the knowledge economy becomes effectively established. As a result, the role of development and quality has become critical, with university education output quality bearing primary responsibility.
In this regard, the Deanship of Development and Quality at the University of Hafr Al-Batin works to raise the university's outputs to the level of local, regional, and global competitiveness through a series of strategic projects framed by specific performance indicators and timetables, which are: obtaining institutional accreditation, then programmatic, supervising, and evaluating. Preparing the university's strategic plan, monitoring project implementation, improving the performance of the university's educational system, developing the scientific research system at the quantitative and qualitative levels, developing the university's administrative structure, and improving the performance of employees in all sectors. In addition to a package of projects and collaborations that activate the university's role in community service.
And the Deanship of Development and Quality, if it fulfills these roles; stems from the university's vision and mission, and clings - after God Almighty - to its academic values, and thus goes beyond the supervisory and evaluation role to actual participation in making success and upgrading the university's outputs, and achieving its goals. As a result, it welcomes constructive opinions and suggestions from both within and outside the university. Believing that criticism is the voice of reason and conscience.
