In 1439 AH, the Deanship of Communications and Information Technologies was created. The Deanship works quickly to expand the infrastructure, foster communication between the many university departments, offer technical support, and connect them via computer networks. Additionally, it offers programs and the tools required for various industries to take advantage of computer networks and the services they have to offer. Along with overseeing an integrated system of electronic services connected to the educational process, the deanship also has a significant impact on the computerization of all corporate, administrative, and financial processes. Additionally, the deanship offers technical research and consults to the university's numerous departments as well as to anyone interested from outside the university, including people, organizations, and sectors.
